My name is Tatiana Divilek and I am a junior at Riverdale Country School. I enjoy working with children and have experience planning and doing activities with children from the Riverdale Neighborhood House with the club Riverdale Community Partners. I am organized and throughout the school year I create a schedule for completing my homework to help me stay on task and productive. I can help students create similar plans to my own so that they can have practice organizing their workload. In the past, I went to sleepaway camp and as a senior I watched the younger bunks during rest hours and help them complete their summer work. I am patient and understanding of my student's emotions, especially stress, so during my homework helping sessions I will make sure to communicate with my student about what feels most difficult for them and why. During my sessions, I make sure to ask my students questions about the material and ask them to explain the content to me to make sure they have a firm understanding of it. I like to have my students check over their own work before I look at it so they have the opportunity to identify errors or inefficient methods in their work themselves. I can’t wait to meet your child!
