My name is Riley Unterberg and I am a senior in high school at York Prep. Working with young children is my passion, and I plan to major in early childhood education in college. I have always been the kid who jumped at the chance to babysit my younger relatives, so I have grown up being the ‘family babysitter.” I also have experience being a gymnastics coach for young kids, working at a preschool during the summers, and babysitting my neighbors. The safety and wellness of the child is my first priority. In addition, I like to fill my babysitting sessions with creative activities. I am very conscientious and caring, which are the key components to being a good babysitter. I enjoy playing age-appropriate games and doing artwork with children. Overall, I am a very active babysitter, and I make it a point to put my phone away when I am babysitting. I also understand the importance of respecting and following the guidelines and rules of parent(s). My mother was a teacher and taught me how to come up with creative games, art projects, or pretend play. I learned a lot from her and her passion for children. I am very patient and sensitive to a child’s needs. As a babysitter, I will make sure everyone has a good experience in a warm and safe environment.
