My name is Lauren Landy, and I am a senior at Horace Mann high school. In the past, I have looked after my neighbor's children on nights when their parents went out. In addition, I have a younger sister (12 years) who I have had to watch occasionally as she grew up. I also taught tennis to kids at my camp before COVID. Through this experience, I learned how to deal with kids’ behavior and small injuries. I am CPR certified by my school. 

I enjoy spending time with kids. In general, I love taking them to the park, reading to them, and playing games. I am studying psychology in school (and would like to be a psych major in college), specifically developmental and child psychology, to understand a child's needs, wants, and thought processes. I think it is important to understand child psychology when babysitting so the child feels heard and can express themselves freely. I also believe that good communication with the parents is very helpful when babysitting. It would be my pleasure to babysit your kid(s)!
