June Lee | Homework Help
Hello! I am a first-year student at Barnard College of Columbia University considering a career in primary and secondary education. I love working with kids and recently taught math and English as a TA at an elementary school in Westchester County, which I found incredibly rewarding. Previously, I also worked as an English instructor in a Hikarino Koen Japanese preschool in Tokyo, and a TA at the KEA Korean language Sunday School in New Jersey. I have been teaching children in some capacity for many years. In math, I have always taken advanced math classes and my SAT scores were in the 99th percentile. I am also a published author with one of my poems currently part of an anthology that is selling on Amazon, and another scheduled for publication by Eber & Wein Publishing next quarter. My teaching style is very creative and fun to keep students excited about learning. I tailor explanations to each student’s learning style. I also use storytelling or songs as a method to keep my students engaged and help them remember certain names or steps. Most importantly, I am excited when my students succeed and strive to create a safe space to make lots of good mistakes.
