Hello! My name is Jai Malhotra and I am a Junior at Riverdale Country School. Throughout my middle school and high school career, I have been a very strong student. I have extensive experience in problem solving, as I participated in the Math Circle for a few years. I also did a Writing Camp at the New York Times, and gained extensive experience in Creative Writing, Analytical Writing, and Descriptive Writing. Over the summer in 2021, I taught 100 hours of English and Math Classes for underprivileged children in the Hamara Gurukul organization in India. As a student, I completely understand how homework can be extremely challenging at times, especially if a concept didn't click in class. For that reason, I understand how "struggling through it" may not be the right solution at times. As a homework helper at Teen NYC, I hope to not only help my students with their homework, but to also show them how to work their way around difficult problems in the future. I will give my students practice problems that are similar to their homework to keep them ahead of the game if needed. Additionally, I will direct my students to use online resources that can effectively help them with their homework in the future. At the end of each session, my clients will receive a progress report with how my student did on their homework, what their strengths and weaknesses are, and what they can do for extra practice.
